On the basis of the Resolution of the Prague City Council of 15 January 2024, the possibility of free parking in paid parking zones for electric cars will be terminated as of 31 December 2024 and the so-called portable parking permits will be abolished.
The portable parking permits and permits for electric vehicles without EL series registration plates, which are already valid until 31.12.2024, will not be terminated early.
New applications and renewal applications will no longer be eligible for one-year validity for these permits. Newly issued and renewed permits for electric vehicles without an EL-series registration plate will be issued with a validity date of 12/31/2024.
Other regular resident and business parking permits will remain unchanged.
