Due to the Ice Hockey World Championship, from 8 May 2024 to 26 May 2024 traffic will be restricted in Prague 9, specifically in selected adjacent roads in the vicinity of the O2 Arena.

For this area, entry will be allowed only on the basis of a valid entry permit (control will be carried out by the Municipal Police of the capital city of Prague). Prague City Police will be responsible for the enforcement of the traffic regulations at designated checkpoints).

If you already hold a valid parking permit with an address point in a restricted area or a reserved disabled parking space for a specific registration plate, you do not need to take any steps to obtain an entry permit. The entry permit will be assigned to your vehicle automatically.

Otherwise, you can apply for a permit online via the Client Zone (approximate processing time is 5 days) or in person at Praha 9 parking permit office.

In order to obtain an entry permit, it is necessary to submit the following documents and prove the relationship to the demarcated area, see Figure 2:

a) Resident: does not present any document is verified from the registers,

b) tenant of the flat/non-residential premises: documents the tenancy agreement,

c) Subscriber: documents an extract from the commercial/business register or a rental agreement,

d) property owner: an extract from the Land Registry,

(e) contractor/artisan: a contract for a contract in the area,

(f) tenant of the parking space/garage: provide a rental agreement or proof of payment.

The entry permit shall be issued free of charge from 22 April 2024, subject to compliance with the conditions.

Please note that only one entry permit for a specific RZ can be issued to a person who proves his/her relation to the defined area. The obligation to obtain an entry permit also applies to electric vehicles.

Following the restriction, the visitor parking rate will also be increased to 40 CZK/hour continuously.
