Warning against fake QR codes on parking machines

We would like to warn the public not to use the fake pink stickers with QR codes with the EasyPark logo found on some parking meters in Prague to pay for parking. These QR codes link to fake websites and when loaded may inadvertently provide sensitive data to fraudsters. The same stickers have been found on parking meters in other European cities.

At the moment, the detected fake QR codes have been removed from parking machines by our technicians and we are continuously checking and removing the fake QR codes.

Recommendation: to purchase parking tickets via QR code, we always recommend that you first verify the address you are being redirected to or use another online payment method to pay your parking fees from a trusted source. Another safe method of payment is through a parking meter in cash or by credit card.

The correct QR code is located on the right side of the parking machine (see Figure 2) and directs you to parking.praha.eu/PA/machine-number and from there to vph.zpspraha.cz/PA/machine-number.

The currently detected fake EasyPark QR code (see Figure 1) has a pink border and the description Scan & Pay or Pay by Phone.

Should you have any doubts when paying with the QR code or identify the fake QR code, please contact us by email (parking@tsk-praha.cz) or by phone (+420 257 015 257).
