ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2026 – traffic restrictions around the O2 Arena

During the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2026, traffic restrictions will be in place in Prague 9, specifically on selected roads in the vicinity of the O2 Arena, from March 23, 2026, to March 29, 2026.

Access to this area will only be permitted with a valid entry permit. Checks will be carried out by the Prague Municipal Police at designated locations.

If you already hold a valid long-term parking permit with an address point in the designated area, you do not need to take any steps to obtain an entry permit. The entry permit will be automatically assigned to your vehicle.

Otherwise, you can apply for a permit:

To obtain an entry permit, it is necessary to submit the following documents and prove your relationship to the restricted area (see Figure 2):

a) resident: no document required, verified from registers,
b) tenant of an apartment/non-residential premises: provides a lease agreement,
c) abonent: provides an extract from the commercial/trade register or a lease agreement,
d) property owner: provides an extract from the land register,
e) contractor/craftsman: provides a contract for work in the given area,
f) tenant of a parking space/garage space: provides a lease agreement or proof of payment,
g) employee of a company based in the area: provides a sworn statement from the employer and a copy of the employment contract.

The issuance of entry permits will begin on February 16, 2026.

Please note that a person who proves their connection to the designated area will only be issued one entry permit for a specific license plate.

The obligation to obtain an entry permit also applies to electric cars and motorcycles. The entry permit is not intended for legal entities that have their registered office on Sokolovská Street and have direct access to the company premises from this street (i.e., they do not enter adjacent streets).

In connection with the restrictions, the visitor parking rate in paid parking zones in the designated area will also be increased to CZK 40/hour around the clock.

If you have any questions, please contact the Paid Parking Zones Department, Transport Division:
