The parking machine rejected my card payment, what should I do?

If payment of the parking fee in a parking machine by card does not go through properly for some reason and the payment is not made, it will not be charged either, thus no money will be taken from the account. The amount will remain in the reservation, which will expire in a few days, the money will not be transferred from the account.

For any refund claims, wait for your bank statement and if the payment was indeed deducted from your bank account, contact us at the helpline or by e-mail.

In order to pay for a short-term parking permit, make use of other options, payment by coins, or use the QR code located on the side of the parking machine. Alternatively, you can use the apps run by the City of Prague or our contractual partners. You can find a list of these on the page Payment for Parking.

The virtual parking meter doesn't save the payment card information on iOS devices.

Some mobile internet browsers (e.g. Safari, Chrome) allow you to browse websites in a "privacy mode". In this mode, the storage of certain information is generally restricted, so it can occur that the settings for payment card info, password or e-mail address are not saved. In such a case, check to make sure incognito mode is turned off in your browser (according to the instructions for the internet browser you are using).

Setting up and using the virtual parking meter is only possible with anonymous mode turned off.
