Are parking fees subject to the scheme of Electronic Registration of Sales (EET)?

Under Section 12 of Act No. 112/2016 Coll., on Electronic Registration of Sales (as amended), the revenue of self-governing territorial units, i.e. municipalities, is not subject to registration of sales. This means that even though the City of Prague, which runs the parking system, takes in cash revenue, it is not subject to the Electronic Registration of Sales scheme.

Information on the above and the grounds for exempting municipalities from the obligation to register sales electronically can be found on the site of the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic.

The parking machine rejected my card payment, what should I do?

If payment of the parking fee in a parking machine by card does not go through properly for some reason and the payment is not made, it will not be charged either, thus no money will be taken from the account. If the amount is displayed in the payment reservations or account movements, it is still not a reason to panic or file a claim.

For any claim that needs to be filed, it is recommended that you wait for your bank statement and only if the payment is truly charged and drawn from your bank account, then contact us on the helpline or by e-mail.

The virtual parking meter doesn't save the payment card information on iOS devices.

Some mobile internet browsers (e.g. Safari, Chrome) allow you to browse websites in a "privacy mode". In this mode, the storing of certain information is generally restricted, so it may occur that it is not possible to save your payment card info, password or email address. We recommend checking whether your browser has anonymous mode turned on (according to the instructions of the internet browser you are using).

Setting up and using the virtual parking meter is only possible with anonymous mode turned off.
